Hello Family and Friends,

We are so excited about seeing and celebrating with you all in the north Georgia mountains in October. There should be some fall color and hopefully a little crispness in the air to greet all of us at the vineyard. We are truly grateful that we will be surrounded by so many dear friends and family members as we enter this next season of our lives together.

Why a honeymoon registry? Well, when we combine our two households, one of which has been recently restocked, we have most of "the essential home items" recommended for newlyweds. Plus, as we grow old and gray together, we just know we're going to look back and relish the adventures we took together more than the fine china we stored in our cabinets. So we've registered for a few things we'll need in our new nest, but wanted to find a way for folks to help us create a memorable honeymoon with tales to tell for a lifetime.

So thanks for checking out our honeymoon registry. This is your chance to help us literally extend the "honeymoon period" and marital bliss long past the wedding day in October.

We're going to Italy!

We're going on our honeymoon next July. That's right . . . July 2009. This works better with Michael's school schedule and with our home rebuilding efforts. Plus good friends have extolled the virtues of taking a honeymoon later. We'll take a few days away right after the wedding to rest and absorb. Then next summer, we'll take a fabulous honeymoon and get to celebrate all over again. We think it's brilliant.

We're stoked about returning to romantic Italy. We traveled together in Italy and Spain last summer and had a splendid time, but made the classic mistake of cramming too much stuff into too little time. Wiser this time around, we'll take more time and focus it in just a few areas - the lush Chianti region and Tuscan hill towns around Siena, and the fishing villages of the Cinque Terre perched along the coast of the Ligurian Sea.

There is so much to see and do-- hiking and bicycling trips, wine tours, museums of all sorts, cooking classes, ancient churches and monasteries, and much, much more. Of course, we plan to eat, drink, relax, consume gelato, relax and then do it all over and over again. As we do, we'll remember and give thanks for each of you here who made each moment there possible.

Thank you for helping us create a honeymoon we will never forget!
