St. Lucia, here we come!

We'll be honeymooning in beautiful St. Lucia! Ever since we saw an article about the island we've been wanting to go there, and we can't wait! The first couple days are all about relaxing and just enjoying being with each other after all the excitement of the wedding. Ladera Resort in Soufriere is just the place for that. It's a very small resort in the mountains with no tvs, radios, phones-i.e. no distractions! And all the rooms have no 4th wall so we'll have incredible, unobstructed views of the famous Pitons. The only thing on our itinerary is the beach and the plunge pool in our room-just relaxing and recuperating from the busy weekend! Maybe even a trip to the spa, and a romantic dinner at their restaraunt Dasheene. Once we've had a few days to relax, we'll take a trip to Soufriere and see the famous the sulphur springs and mineral baths, "drive-in" volcano, and some beautiful waterfalls. From there we'll move on to stay at Ti Kaye village for the remainder of our honeymoon. Another small resort in the mountains, we'll have a great view of the ocean from the double hammock on our veranda. We hope to get some great snorkeling in at the beach and take a water taxi into Castries, the largest city in St. Lucia. The hotel also has nightly sunset cruises, whale watching, and scuba classes! We'll take the shuttle to Anse La Raye for the Friday night fish fry-a local street festival complete with great food, music, and dancing! The rest of the time will be spent relaxing on our beach chairs while our "beach dude", as they're called at Ti Kaye, keeps the drinks comin'. What could be better?!
