You, our closest friends and most-dear family, know Sara and I. In that body of knowledge, in your mind's eye, is a picture of our home; at just 600 square feet, it is incredibly small! We are lucky enough to have just about everything we want and require. We are very fortunate, very cared for and very content. We've registered at Heath Ceramics (click) and Chef Works (brick) for those few goodies that we are missing; those lovely and utilitarian pieces that would add value to our lives. This is not to say that we aren't wanting for anything; there is time and money. Like so many, those resources are constrained. That said, we've planned a humble honeymoon. Sara and I are eager for this time together, some precious hours away from our collective and respective obligations. We want to spend a week away, living in the moment, blanketed by our mutual adoration. We've decided to retreat to Portland, Oregon. Though we haven't spent time there together, we understand that it is the ideal destination for our particular brand of fun, comfort and romance. Thank you for contributing to our honeymoon! Furthermore, thank you for allocating your resources to attend our destination wedding; we are honored and excited that you would choose to do as much; your presence is present(s) enough. Sara and I are looking forward to spending time with you in Tahoe.

We're going to Portland, Oregon!

We'll fly out of San Jose on Thursday, July 28th and return home on Tuesday, August 2nd. We will not be camping! We'll stay at The Nines, Portland. This luxurious little nest was recommended by Nicole, Portland resident and wedding attendee.

Our to-do list is going to read like a Denny's menu, but, here goes;

International Rose Test Garden
Portland Art Museum
Portland Farmers Market
Hoyt Arboretum and/or Leach Botanical Gardens
Shop the Mississippi, Alberta & Pearl Districts
Catch a show at Mississippi Studios
Massage and Spa treatments at Dragonwood Spa
Visit the best bike shops and bike builders; maybe just two of each
Jog around the neighborhoods
Maybe some kissy face
Hike the Columbia River Gorge
Eat & Drink at Por Que No, Tin Shed, Noble Rot, Pok Pok, Clyde Commons, Tasty & Son's, Little Bird, Parks Kitchen, Departure, Toro Bravo & maybe a couple more!

As the 14 year "courting" period evidences, we are not very spontaneous! We're going to try to mellow, be present and live in the moment while we're tripping in OR. We'll let you know how that goes. One thing is for certain; we plan on having the time of our young lives together in Portland. Thank you for your help making this trip happen for Sara and I.
