If you have seen the San Diego Derby Dolls in action, then you've discovered that these girls rock it hybrid-style.

However amazing the San Diego Derby Dolls are on the banked track, including securing first place in the Battle of the Banked II in Austin Texas this summer, San Diego fans have yet to see them skate on this challenging surface at home. Well, we're going to make that happen! In 2010, our goal is to bring banked track games to San Diego at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. In order to accomplish this, the league needs to build a semi-portable banked track, which costs about $30,000. The roller derby addict in you wants this bad. Can you feel it?!

Currently, we have raised approximately $8,000 towards our goal. Every donation of monetary or material value brings banked track roller derby closer to home. Below are the materials that are needed to build a portable banked track. Buy some decking or buy some screws... you don't even need to leave your house.
