Thanks for visiting our honeymoon registry. We are looking forward to seeing everybody in Chatham in September. We are looking forward to sharing this special moment and this special place with all of you.
Once we got engaged and decided to live in New York it was then time to combine houses. Between everything Jonathan brought from DC, the additional furniture he got from his dad in Milwaukee and everything Jeannie already had in Bronxville and Chatham, we realized we had about all we needed or could manage to store. Realizing this, we agreed that registering for our honeymoon would be a great thing to do. It will help us take the trip of a lifetime and we will come home with many memories and pictures to share with everyone.
We're going to Rome, South Africa and Namibia!
Rome, South Africa and Namibia
After the excitement of the wedding weekend activities, we are off to Rome (via London) to start our honeymoon. No better place to go to relax for a couple of days and get some great food. After four nights in Rome, we fly back to London to catch our overnight flight to South Africa. Our first stop will be the Great Fish River Lodge on the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve where we will be able to experience the wilds of South Africa. After three nights at Kwandwe we are off to Cape Town. Staying at the Cape Cadogan Hotel we hope to get some rest and take in the sights of Cape Town.
After a taste of the city life we are off to Namibia (to follow in the footsteps of Brad and Angelina). Our first stop will be the Olive Grove Guest House in Windhoek (the capital city). After one night we are off on an early morning flight (on a very small plane) to Palmwag Desert Rhino Camp. For two nights we will stay in the tents at Palmwag and go out in search of the desert rhinos, elephants and other animals. After our stay in Palmwag it is off to Swakopmund (on another very small plane). In Swakopmund we will spend one night at the Beach Lodge, a B and B on the skeleton coast. The next morning it is time for another early morning and very small plane. We are going to Kulala Wilderness Camp near Sossusvlei. Sossusvlei is home to the largest sand dunes in the world. While at the lodge, we wil take quad bikes into the dunes, explore the park and maybe even sleep out under the stars one night.
After all of our adventures it will finally be time for us to come home. Another overnight flight to London and will will make our way back home with great memories and hopefully lots of pictures to share.
