China Guide Book - to make sure that we see all the essential places and get the most out of our trip, a good guide book is a must!

Dim Sum in Hong Kong - Yuki and I can't miss the opportunity to eat REAL authentic Chinese pot stickers, dumplings, shumai, and all those other tasty steamed delicacies!

Beijing Zoo - one of the few places in the world where you can watch adorable pandas. A trip to China is not complete without a peek at their national mascot!

Yangtze River Cruise - we'd like to spend a few nights sailing along this legendary river, which is the 3rd longest in the world and winds its way across most of the country, connecting several major cities.

Beijing's Forbidden City - one of the oldest cities in the world. This is the old capital of China, an area that was closed to outsiders for thousands of years!

Shanghai Hyatt - for the 2 nights we spend in Shanghai, we'd like to splurge on a nice 4-star hotel, complete with spa treatments and breakfast in bed!

Great Wall of China - one of the 7 ancient wonders of the world, we would like to join a small tour group for the day to explore the Great Wall and learn more about its important role in the history of the country.

Motorcycle rental - One of Yukio's and my favorite ways to explore a country is to set off on a motorcycle and wind our way through the back streets of the villages, rubbing elbows with the locals.

Silk Market - the best place to buy traditional Chinese silk, at the best prices! Yuki and I love checking out what sorts of goodies the locals have for sale, and this is a great place to pick up some mementos and souvenirs.

Airfare - this is the biggest expense of our trip. Yuki and I are great at finding thrifty hotels and meals anywhere we go, so getting the plane ride is the main hurdle of our journey.
