Guys, we are going to Iceland.
Emily wants the Northern Lights, and by God, she's gonna get the Northern Lights.
We hear they peak every 11 years, and this just so happens to be the 11th year in the cycle, so cross your fings.

Iceland is the land of fire and ice. Other than hopefully seeing the Northern Lights, we might be able to scuba dive, glacier hike, dogsled, trek volcanos, and possibly snow ski while we are in this gorgeous country.

We would absolutely love it if you could contribute anything in any way to help us make this honeymoon the greatest adventure of our lives. With your help it can be the perfect way to celebrate our marriage, as well as set the tone for our lives to come!

GETTING THERE!!! Iceland is located in the northern Atlantic Ocean. It is situated between Greenland and Norway and north of the U.K.. Iceland is a volcanic island nation.

FERRY TO SURTSEY ISLAND Surtsey island is one of the youngest places on Earth. It came up from the ocean floor during a volcanic eruption in 1963. While there we may even spot a Puffin or two!

ICE CLIMBING THE SOLHEIMAJOKULL GLACIER. One of the things Iceland is known for is its awesome glaciers. And while we are there, we reckon we might like to climb one.

SCUBA DIVING THE SILFRA RAVINE. The Silfra ravine is one of Iceland's best kept secrets. Silfra is an otherworldly scene in Þingvellir National Park and is one of the best dive sites in the world.

DOG SLEDDING For some weird reason, an hour of dogsledding is $130 a person in Iceland. If we had enough snow in America, Charlie could probably pull us by himself for free. Regardless, we need to do it.

BLUE LAGOON A geothermal spa that is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. The steamy waters are part of a lava formation and the spa is located in a lava field in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula, southwestern Iceland.

BREWERY TOUR A tour of Ölgerðin, Iceland’s oldest brewery. The tour covers some of Iceland’s drinking history and those on the tour get to taste several different kinds of beer, as well as traditional drinks like Applesin, Malt, and Brennivin.
