Since opening in 2011, the four-star Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao has made quite a splash. The 390-room hotel features a stunning indoor/outdoor pool that hangs off the 24th floor of the building, partially suspended in mid-air over the streets below.
Although most of the pool is located inside, the glass-bottom part enables swimmers to view the incredible city sights below while people walking on the streets can look up and see swimmers in the sky. The experience must be incredible for guests -- of course, as long as they don't have a fear of heights.
