A Soul mate is what we feel we have found~
That special person who you want to center life around.
The journey began with each on our own~
Destined to set up a household all alone.
Bath towels were purchased and sheets for the bed~
Cushions and pillows in which to lay our head.
Kitchens were furnished with dishes, silverware, pans and pots~
“Would I ever find that special one?” sometimes filled our thoughts.
And then our paths crossed one very special day~
Too bad that shortly after I moved a state away.
Our lives continued to circle and we stayed in touch~
And who would have thought our love would blossom so much.
But the one thing we didn’t take into account~
Was the combining of households and the “stuff” that did amount.
Two sets of towels, china and silverware~
What will we do with that extra armchair?
Since we already have a house full of stuff~
It made registering for our wedding so very tough.
We are blessed to have a beautiful home~
But one thing we love is to travel and roam.
To see some country we have never been to~
And then it was clear what we thought we should do.
We will register for our honeymoon so you too can be a part~
Of a fantastic trip for us we will forever cherish in our heart!
We're going to Vail, Colorado!
He proposed while hiking in the mountains of Colorado so what better way to continue the trend and celebrate the people we are and the union that we have just entered into than on our honeymoon. We are planning 15 gorgeous days in Colorado . While there we will visit Rocky Mountain National Park and a myriad of other National Forests and amazing sights. We are hoping to step out of our stressful careers and jam-packed lives and be able to celebrate and relax as we soak in the breathtaking views and unwind in the awe-inspiring shadows of 13,000 ft. peaks. We are very fortunate to have been able to share beautiful country sides together and fantastic views with each other but never before as husband and wife. We plan to cherish the path that we have taken thus far and rejoice in the adventure of marriage that lies ahead! We are very excited to enter into this monumental chapter of our lives!
We will start our road trip as we venture up through Moab, Utah on our way to Vail.
We are hoping for an early winter snow in order to partake in some fun winter activities. Neither one of us has ever been snowshoeing. We have also found some snowmobiling and cross-country skiing tours that look exciting. Besides what better way to end our first days as newly-weds than curled up under a fireplace as the snowflakes softly fall over the land.
