1 Night Overwater Bungalow in Moorea.
Our first night in French Polynesia, before we board the Star Flyer, will be spent at the Moorea Hilton in an Overwater Bungalow. Moorea is supposed to be one of the most beautiful islands in French Polynesia.
4 Nights in an Overwater Bungalow in Bora Bora
Although its a bit extravagant, overwater bungalows are mostly unique to French Polynesia, so its a once-in-a-lifetime chance to swim from our front door!
Island Spa & Massage
Another extravagance, the Star Flyer offers a private getaway for 2 by boat to a small motu where they setup massage tables and do a couple's massage and drinks. A bit expensive, but hopefully memorable and relaxing.
Lunch at Bora Bora Yacht Club
Recently re-opened after a rennovation, this restaurant is supposed to have some excellent fresh seafood (obviously) and a great view and ambience. Also supposed to have a great cheeseburger.
Breakfast by Canoe!
One Tahiti Honeymoon tradition is to have your breakfast delivered by boat to your overwater bungalow and eat out on the deck to watch the sunrise. Its definitely an indulgence, I'm sure the food tastes the same if delivered on foot
A day of drinks on board the Star Flyer.
Our 7-day island cruise is all inclusive, ALMOST. Alcohol is not included in the price, and neither of us can imagine sailing in the Polynesian sun without some overpriced Mai Tai's!
Cost Each $80.00
Still Need 2
Waverunner rental on Bora Bora.
A short transfer from the Star Flyer to Maitira Beach on Bora Bora for a 2.5 hour guided tour of the lagoon via Waverunner. Includes some swimming and a stop for refreshments on an isolated "motu"
Romantic sunset cruise in Bora Bora.
A 1.5 hour cruise at sunset to a small unpopulated island with champagne to watch the set set over the Pacific.
SCUBA diving in Huahine.
One of the first ports of call during our sailing trip is the small island of Huahine. This is one of the least developed islands in the Society Island chain. We plan to do a day of diving here from the boat.
Dinner at La Bounty on Bora Bora.
Another highly rated restaurant we want to try is La Bounty. Rob is looking forward to trying the pizzas to take a break from non-stop seafood.
Dinner at "La Villa Mahana".
Yoshi loves fine dining, and Rob is more than willing to tag along, barring vegetables. La Villa Mahana on Bora Bora is one of the few fine-dining French restaurants in the area, with a romantic beach-side settin
Dinner at Rudy's in Moorea.
One of the highest rated restauants on this island, Rudy's is a small family-owned place with just a few tables and a lot of attentive service.
Surf Lessons in Moorea.
We both have pretty much zero experience, but we've always wanted to try our hand at surfing. So we plan to each take a 1-day lesson to see if its for us or not! its a good bet this picture will not be illustrative of our skill
SCUBA Diving in Bora Bora
The diving in this area is supposed to be great, especially because of the number of larger sea life usually seen, like Rays, Sharks (not the man-eating kind), Dolphins, even Whales. Our goal is to do 3 half-day dive outings.
Luinch & Drinks at Bloody Mary's.
This place is not fine-dining, but sounds like sort of an institution on Bora Bora as a traditional island bar scene with comfort food. The guidebooks say its a must-visit for a laid-back lunch. Hopefully not cheesy
Land Rover tour of Bora Bora.
Although there are not many roads in Bora Bora, there are places to explore with a 4x4 and one popular activity is guided tours in a Land Rover exploring the mountainous terrain of Bora Bora.
