Before we depart we will need to make sure we have all the right 'gear' for our trip. Our trip will require everything from hiking boots to wet suits and almost everything in between.

Emergency Travel Insurance - Let's face it both of us are well known for occasional falls and injuries and we are going on a trekking honeymoon in remote locations - so best to have some insurance!

Our flights from Toronto direct to Lima, Peru - by far the most exciting flight that we have been on together!

Airport to Hotel Transfer - We will arrive in Lima at 11.59pm groggy and unable to speak Spanish so we have organized to be picked up at the airport and taken directly to our hotel in Lima and to bed!

One night in Lima - We will spend our first night South America in Peru enjoying the comforts of a nice hotel before we depart on the first part of our adventures.

Breakfast in Lima - Our first day in Peru will start with a lazy late breakfast in the capital city of Peru before enjoying a day relaxing and taking in the sights.

Flights from Lima to Quinto - We will depart the capital city of Peru and head to Quito in Ecuador before flying to the Galapagos Islsnds for 5 day adventure

Dinner in Quito - The end of our first day in Ecuador before we head out for our island adventure! Dinner will be an opportunity to fill up and try some of the local food and wine before departing to Galapagos Islsnds.

Cruise the Galapagos We will spend 5 days on board a motor yacht crusing between islands and visiting various locations and seeing some of the worlds most amazing wildlife including tortoises, iguanas and maybe some sharks

Celebratory Dinner and Drinks following our adventure in the Galapagos Islands.

Three Nights in Quito - We will spend three nights in Quito continuing our Ecuadorian adventures and visiting the surrounding volcanos and hot springs.

Laundry - Andrea will require that all clothes are cleaned and smelling nice before we head to venezuela.

Bike adventure on the world's highest active volcano (Cotopaxi Volcano National Park) We will bike on dirt roads through volcanic ash and across stunning páramo landscape letting gravity do all the hard work while we enjoy the view!

Cayambe Volcano - An unforgettable day trip to the Cayambe volcano visiting various ecological zones from rainforest to the edge of a glacier. We will finish the trip off with a quick dip in the El Pisqui Hot Springs,

Flights from Lima to Venezuela - We will spend 7 days in Venezuela relaxing in the Los Roques Archipelago National Park

We will spend one night in Caracas before we depart for the Los Roques Archipelago National Park.

Dinner in Caracas - Before departing for Los Roques Archipelago we will have a romantic meal on the edge of the Caribbean Ocean.

Flights from Caracas to Los Roques - We will be spending six days on the Archipelago relaxing on the beach and allowing Andrea's ankle to recover for our last part of our honeymoon climbing volcanos in Ecaudor.

We will spend six nights at the Posada Movida relaxing on tiny islands in the Caribbean Sea, Chasing turtles and snorkelling by coral reefs.

Flights from Venezuela back to Ecaudor - We will spend the final 3 days of our honeymoon back in Ecaudor.

Airport to Hotel Transfer - Once again we will be arriving in arriving late at night, groggy and confused, so a pre-arranged airport pick-up will make sure we arrive safe and sound!

One night in the Windsor Hotel Ecuador - We will spend a few hours sleeping in Ecuador before we meet up with our guides for our first acclimatization hike to Papallacta thermal springs.

Papallacta thermal springs trek through high altitude cloud forest before relaxing in the thermally heated pools.

Hotel Valhalla - We will spend the night at the famous Hotel Valhalla at 3,500m up and enjoy the incredible vista's and allow our bodies to get used to the high altitude.

Dinner at the Valhalla Restaurant - We will enjoy a freshly prepared meal and a bottle of wine while looking out at the worlds highest volcano - a good night!

Summit day on Rumiñahui - This will be our highest and only summit on our honeymoon - at just under 5000m it will be a challenging adventure!

1 night in the Hostel Tambopaxi - Tambopaxi is an ecotourism complex designed as a recreation and acclimatisation centre. Situated in the Cotopaxi National Park, at 3,750m, the site is surrounded by a really spectacular views.

Cotopaxi Volcano Refugio and Glacier Early in the morning we will drive to the car park on Cotopaxi at 4600m. From here we take a short trek to the refuge at 4800m and take a brief rest before heading up to glacier at 5000m.

We will spend our final night in Quito, Ecuador enjoying a well earnt rest before we return to Canada and reality!

Our last dinner in Quito - We will celebrate our final night in Ecaudor and the end of our South American adventure with a final dinner.

Spending Money - Throughout the trip we will be purchasing souvenirs of this amazing journey; snacks to keep our energy levels up and the occassional drink to help us relax and unwind!
