Round trip airfare for two from Austin to Cancun on Continental Airlines. Not the fanciest gift in the world, but the most necessary. Julie gets to ride in the window seat.
Romantic Dinner on the Beach. Picture it. Light breeze blowing at sunset, sand in your toes and gourmet food served at your request.
Sony HD Camcorder. Why the heck would we pay a videographer an arm and a leg when we could use our new camcorder for the ceremony, reception, honeymoon and beyond? Thanks for helping us preserve our memories for a lifetime!
$50.00 Still Need
Xel Ha is an ecopark with a beautiful lagoon wonderful for snorkeling, tubing and observing fish, but they also take you out to swim with dolphins on this special tour. Julie has always wanted to swim with Dolphins.
And then there's the wine... This gift will help upgrade our wine with dinner each night. Being the incredible wine connoisseurs that we are (wink, wink), we just couldn't punish our taste buds with the normal wine included with dinner.
Treat us to breakfast in bed on three separate mornings. How could we refuse "aphrodisiac fruits, French toast stuffed with blueberries and whipped cream, and smoked salmon omelets with cream cheese and capers" in bed one morning?
Singles for tips. Yep. You provide one of two Benjamins and we'll make sure the resort staff takes incredible care of us all week. It's amazing the service you can get when you throw around a dollar a beer on the beach!
$100.00 Still Need
Airport transfers from Cancun to El Dorado Royal Casitas Spa and Resort and back. Again, not the sexiest gift, but a necessity. Let the practical side of your brain run wild!
Mexican Cab Fare from El Dorado Royale to both Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. Each is about a 30 minute drive (or 3 hours by burro). We'll need these when we go "off property."
Help Todd and Julie stay in the lap of luxury. We'll be staying six (6) nights in the All-Inclusive Casitas at El Dorado Royale Spa and Resort. These self-contained rooms feature a 4-poster bed, outdoor shower and an in-suite Jacuzzi.
$100.00 Still Need
We would like to create a picture album selected from the scores of digital photos we will take and have it nicely bound & we can cherish all of our precious memories from this trip!
Ward off our hunger in a healthy way! What could be better than some in-suite service of ten pieces of tropical fruit? This will allow us to snack in the room or take it to the beach.
Super cheesy. How can anyone resist a cheese tray in the room? Answer: They can't and neither will we. Treat us to a cheese tray and bottle of wine to enjoy.
Complete Couple Massage.
Two (2) separate sessions of couples full body relaxing massage and body scrub at the beautiful on-site spa. We'll definitely need these following all the stress of planning the wedding! 80 minutes per massage.
His and hers round trip ferry tickets to and from Cancun and Isla Mujeres....we want to take a trip across the Caribbean sea to this beautiful island and explore.
Royal Garrafon Water Park on Isla Mujeres. A place to call "home base" for our day of exploring. It includes lots of quality snorkeling in one of the most famous coral reefs in the world. Breakfast, lunch, and beverages are included.
It doesn't cost a lot, but when Julie saw that we could spend some time at the Tortugranja (Turtle Farm) in Isla Mujeres, she got really excited. I'm sure she'll want to put one of the little guys in her pocket.
You just can't go on vacation without a stack of trashy magazines (according to Julie). Help feed her gossip addiction!
You like cold beer don't you? We do too! We'd love to be able to buy a soft-sided cooler for the week (we just don't want to take one with us).
A beer or three and lunch "off property." We'll definitely be touring around and could use the nourishment! This picture was taken on our first trip to Playa Del Carmen. The coldest Coronas and the best guacamole ever.
Souvenirs from Playa del Carmen and Cancun would be a great way to remember our honeymoon. We will have our eyes peeled for locally-made arts and crafts to help decorate the house.
Sure we've been there before, but could we have possibly missed anything? The Lonely Planet guidebook to Cancun, Cozumel & the Yucatan will make sure we don't.
