Traveler's Joy Honeymoon Registry
Nicole Barsalona & Michael Tonelli
Hello Family and Friends!

As many of you know, Nicole and I have been lucky enough to see some amazing places in our first 26 years, from studying abroad in Europe, to wonderful trips with friends, incredible adventures with our families, and most recently our excursions while Nicole has been on tour. Traveling has always been very important to us (after all, we did meet on an island!), and despite our hectic school or work schedules over the years, we have always made it a priority to steal away every chance we could get. Now, we are getting ready to take the opportunity as a married couple and we're planning a whirlwind summer of travels before heading to Philadelphia to make our new home.

We've reserved the two most romantic spots on our journey for the first two weeks following the wedding. We'll kick off these two weeks in Rome, where we'll revisit some of our favorite sites and restaurants, and then make our way down the coast to Positano. After experiencing the beautiful sights and sounds of Italy we'll fly to Greece, where we'll relax on the island of Santorini and explore the surrounding islands.

Given our exciting itinerary, and having realized that our kitchen is fully stocked with appliances we'll probably never use, having our friends and family help us create an unforgettable honeymoon seemed like a wonderful alternative to a traditional registry. So, we have listed some fun items here, from romantic dinners to cooking classes and excursions, all at varying levels. However, we also have two charities that are dear to our hearts, so please do not feel obligated to give gifts if you'd prefer to make donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

And truly, having you celebrate with us in Nassau is the greatest gift of all!

Thank you all for your love and friendship over the years, and we look forward to seeing you in Nassau in June!

All our love,

Mike and Nicole

TRIP DETAILS

After a fantastic celebration on June 6 (and a couple of days to recover), we will be setting off from New York City on June 8, for an overnight flight to Rome. We'll reunite with the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum...not to mention Mike's favorite food!

Following our two nights in Rome, we'll jump in the manual rental car and drive down the coast to Positano, with plans to stop in Naples and Pompeii. In Positano, we'll be spending three nights perched in the mountains overlooking the Mediterranean. Taking in the sun and sea, we'll be exploring the Amalfi coast, and enjoying the local food.

From there it will be a quick ferry ride to one of the islands off the coast, where we will spend two nights on the volcanic island of Ischia which sits in the middle of the Tyrrhenian Sea and is known for its thermal springs and volcanic sand beaches.

We will then make our way back to Naples and fly to Santorini, Greece for five nights in the Greek Islands. After connecting in Athens, we will land on the island known for its unforgettable sunsets. Another volcanic island, Santorini is the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions ever: 3,600 years ago an eruption left a large caldera filled with water and surrounded by massive cliffs. One popular theory holds that the eruption is the source of the legend of Atlantis. Set high on the cliffs, we will enjoy the sunsets and Greek cuisine as we reminisce about the 9 incredible years together that brought us to that moment.
