With new jobs and wedding planning, we have decided to wait a little while and take our honeymoon during Spring Break in March. This will allow us the greatest opportunities to fly fish in Belize in hopes of catching a "grand slam" (bonefish, tarpon, & permit all in the same day); and we are also tacking on a trip to the "Sweet 16" on our way home.

In Belize, we will be staying at El Pescador, a family-run resort on the beach of Ambergris Caye offering "the best in adventure and accommodations". El Pescador is on the Bahia del Punta Arena, 2.6 miles north of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. The spot is quiet and private, yet close enough to reach town on foot, bicycle, shuttle, water taxi or golf cart. The El Pescador property stretches across the island from beach to lagoon, offering immediate access to fishing, snorkeling or shelling. We are planning on four days of fishing for the "grand slam" and a day or two of eco-adventures in the jungle and at the Mayan ruins. The last 3 days of our honeymoon will include a stopover in Houston, Texas for the NCAA Basketball 2008 South Regional and some "March Madness".
