Lacey & Andrew

March 29, 2008

Welcome to Lacey and Andrew's honeymoon registry page! We hope to see you in Massachusetts on March 29th, and we appreciate your efforts in helping us celebrate our special day. For additional information on our wedding and receptions (Minnesota and New Jersey), please be sure to visit our wedding website at www.laceyandandrew.com.

Interestingly, the term "honeymoon" originally referred to the abduction of a bride from a neighboring village. The abductor/husband-to-be took his bride into hiding for a period of time. His friends assured his and her safe keeping and kept their whereabouts unknown. Once the bride's family gave up their search, the bridegroom returned to his people. So the word "honeymoon" actually meant "hiding." However, seeing as Lacey's family readily blessed the union, we can skip the whole "living in caves for a month" and enjoy a more modern type of honeymoon!

We have chosen Morocco as our destination. Neither of us have been there, and we are excited at the prospect of starting our marriage with a unique and exotic adventure! We would like to thank you for considering such a memorable gift in honor of our wedding.

Love,
Lacey and Andrew

We're going to Morocco!

Morocco is situated on the northwest corner of Africa, just an hour's ferry ride from Spain. It is an almost entirely Muslim country, with French and Spanish colonial influences layered over the Islamic. Arabic and French are the main languages.

We will fly from NYC to Casablanca, Morocco.
