Hi everyone!

First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. We appreciate the time and effort it will take to brave the January winter while you journey far north of the Cheddar Curtain to Green Bay, WI.

As most of you know, we have been living together in Chicago for almost 5 years now, so we have most of the essential home items that other newlyweds may need. What we would really treasure is an unforgettable honeymoon that we could otherwise not afford. This is why we decided to create our honeymoon registry - thanks for visiting it!

With your help, we will have the chance to begin our new life together in a beautiful country full of adventure and romance. The memories we'll create will last a lifetime, while a new toaster could burn out tomorrow - literally, burn out - ha! But seriously, when we are old and gray, we will look back after a lifetime of marriage and cherish the memories of our younger days much more than any tangible item.

We chose Belize as our destination after much debate and we can't tell you how excited we are to have our dream honeymoon at our fingertips. Being able to explore a new culture, while getting away from city life will be just what we need after our wedding! From the jungle to the beach, we can't wait to experience the exotic wonders Belize has to offer.

We're going to Belize, Central America!

We will begin our honeymoon in a place unlike any other we have ever traveled - the jungle! We will be staying 4 nights at the Black Rock Lodge in San Ignacio, Belize. We will be immersed in Belizean culture as we explore ancient Mayan ruins and caves. After these adventures, we will take a short plane ride to a small island off the coast of Belize - Ambergris Caye! Here we will be able to relax and enjoy our beachfront resort, while trying out our new scuba diving skills at the world's 2nd largest barrier reef!

Tour of the Xunantunich Ruins - we will travel to the Mayan village of San Jose Succotz on the banks of the Mopan River by boarding a small hand-cranked pontoon ferry to cross the river to the Xunantunich (shoo-nan-too-nitch) Maya Ruin.

Tropical Wings Butterfly Research Center - After exploring our first ruins, we will drive a short distance to see over a dozen species of Belizean butterflies.

Cahal Pech Ruins - We then head to the outskirts of San Ignacio to one of the most architecturally diverse Maya Ruins in Belize. We will climb though the ruins, see ancient architecture, and view 2,000 year old red plaster still intact on the walls.
