We have just arrived and can't carry all of our luggage to the hotel on foot. A taxi ride into town with a talkative local driver to give us the scoop on this fabulous city is a must.

We want to see it all - including a view of the Blue Mosque from our beautiful hotel.

Our first day in Istanbul. We will need some strong Turkish coffee and sweet Turkish delights so we can start this adventure right away.

A romantic dinner for two at a cafe along the water of the Bosphorus - the strait that separates Europe and Asia.

Jennifer needs a head scarf to enter the great mosques of the Ottoman Empire. A trip to the Grand Bazaar is in order. And maybe she'll find the perfect little belly dancing outfit too.

Kristian isn't much of a shopper, but he'll will gladly tag along if sampling kabobs at the food stalls is on the agenda.

After a day of shopping and sight-seeing, Kristian and Jennifer go to a taverna for some grilled lamb and raki.

Ouch! Too much raki! Shutting the curtains and ordering breakfast in bed.

Off to the lunar landscape of Cappadocia. We could take a bus there from Istanbul, but that would be a 12 hour journey at night. We want to upgrade to an airplane and fly in style.

Our own cozy little cave room. We would love to live like cave men during our stay in Cappadocia at this cave hotel. Kristian hopes there are no hibernating bears.

Jennifer is waking Kristian before sunrise. Grump though he may, we are about to go on a hot air balloon adventure through the Cappadocia valley to see the magnificent and weird landscape that lies below.

We want to enjoy a bottle of wine on the hotel terrace as we watch the sunset fade into the horizon.

We will hire a car to take us to the various underground cities in the area. Some caves housed early Christians who hid there to escape the Romans. Very creepy and very cool!

A dinner of stuffed grape leaves and sweet Turkish wine - all while spinning around with the Whirling Dervishes.

Off to the blue waters of the Aegean Sea. We want to get to the coast before our honeymoon ends. A plane ride for two will speed this trip along.

Although a palm leaf hut on the beach may sound awfully romantic, Jennifer and Kristian will be less cranky with A/C and running water available. This gift is for a pleasant hotel room near the beach.

We will need to absorb all of the history and culture we have been exposed to. This gift will allow us to enjoy some sun and a few fruity cocktails at a posh beach club as we gather strength for the next leg of our honeymoon.

A day trip to Ephesus to Greek around. We would like to spend the day with our own private tour guide who will show us the highlights of this ancient city.

After our excursion to ancient Greece, we would like a smooth transition back to the present while enjoying an exquisite seafood dinner by the beach.

Kristian is a sailor and wants to rent a boat to show Jennifer his mad skills on the beautiful turquoise water of the Aegean Sea.

We want a coffee break while we people-watch and write post cards to folks back home.

Souvenirs! We will need a few trinkets to remind us of our honeymoon - maybe a magnet, football jersey, seashell picture frame or cook book. We won't know until something catches our eye.
