Elizabeth Cawrse & Bart Eisenbarth
Thank you for visiting our registry page! As you know, experiencing the world and volunteering are two of our shared passions, and we’re thrilled to be combining the two for our honeymoon. In July of 2009, we will be going on a medical-dental trek through the Greater Himalayas, and then on to Thailand for some relaxation on the beach!
When we look back on our lives together, it is our experiences and adventures that we cherish. This adventure will be one that makes an impact on the lives of others, and one we will remember for the rest of our lives.
Thank you for considering this meaningful gift in honor of our wedding. We look forward to celebrating with you when we return!
Love, Bart and Liz

India and Thailand
Lahaul lies in the rain-shadow of the Greater Himalayan Range. Separated by the infamous 13,000 feet high 'Rohtang Pass,' snow and avalanches on Rohtang cut Lahaul off from the rest of the country for almost 6 months each year. A combination of rail and road takes us to Manali (6,600 ft), and then on to our first clinic site in Lahaul district. Camp/clinic sites include remote villages of Pangi and Miyad valleys, and a patient count of 1,500 or more is expected in our clinics.
This 21-day medical-dental expedition is being jointly organized by Himalayan Health Exchange and the Department of Health, State of Himachal Pradesh, to provide care to the remote villages of Lahaul, Pangi Valley and Miyad Valley - all located in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
Team members will fly into New Delhi and use a combination of rail and road to reach Manali (6000 ft), the starting point of our health adventure. This expedition takes us over a 13,000 foot pass and into the Greater Himalayan Range. This long road adventure provides breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain ranges.
After finishing the expedition, we will be travelling to Thailand for some rest and relaxation on the beach. We will be flying into Bangkok, and then taking about 10 days to explore the rest of the country.
